Baby Chin Ai

It all started at Indah Villa — Unit NLG05, a university apartment where Jia Yong and his friends called home. Chin Ai would come over regularly, and somewhere along the way, became a familiar presence. She cooked for him too, which in hindsight was a pretty clear sign — her mama skills were showing long before anyone pointed it out.

Like most relationships, theirs had its share of challenges. COVID hit during the stretch where Jia Yong was working in Johor Bahru and Chin Ai in Singapore. Over a year of long distance, making it work across the causeway. Not easy, but they got through it.

Some things are just worth the distance.

Eventually they settled back in JB together, and have since bought their own home there. Today, they're surrounded by the people who've known them through all of it — and it's finally time to make things official.
